Beijing has a sense of fun and adventure, and this is reflected in the fun restaurants that dot the city. From wild dancing entertainment to wacky cuisine and general fun, chill atmospheres, Beijing has it all!
The Tree is a Beijing classic and a staple for anyone who lives on Italian, wood-burning oven pizzas. This place has a fun atmosphere that is never quiet or drab, and the wacky music is so out of contrast with the food that it adds a bit of humor to your meal.
Bellagio is a fun after-dinner dessert hub, and nothing is stranger than the matching waitresses-- down to the tom-boy hairstyle and clothing. The shaved ice is delicious and the atmosphere, although up scale, is entertaining.
Golden Jaguar offers a buffet with some 300+ dishes. If that isn't fun, I don't know what is. You'll find anything you are looking for in the buffet line, literally! And its a slow shuffle while you pick your way through the treats in line.
Jin Ding Xuan is open 24 hours and serves dim sum around the clock. Drunken crowds stumble in at all hours, making this a fun (but hardly child-friendly) place for a late snack.
And now, the pinnacle of fun dining in Beijing, the Dong Hua Men Night Market, which offers all variety of strange meats on sticks. Your scorpion, sea-horse and snake taste great if covered in oodles of spice. Seriously, give it a try!
Little Sheep hot pot is a great group activity and a classic favorite for a fun night on the town. Always packed, the food speaks for itself when the line goes out the door and down the stairs!
Dongbeiren brings northern cuisine and culture to Beijing in a fun way. Half museum of propaganda art and barren woodlands, half delicious bread-based foods. This is a fun group activity and they even have private rooms.
Xinjiang is well represented by Afunti, where cultural music blares while you enjoy the Muslim cuisine you've come to love.
Ganges is a fun albeit a bit romantic dining occasion with fun music and a wildly expansive menu while 1001 Nights has hourly belly dancers that spice up the evening-- especially when they pull guests onto the dance floor!
