• Hujiang Xiang Man Lou is a very different kind of restaurant. Despite its being indoors, the management have managed to create a very outdoorsy feel. Thick leafy trees reach up to the ceiling, there is an arrangement of clean, wooden market-style stalls, and birds chirp in cages. Customers pick their food at the stalls, as though walking down a street, then orders are brought to the table. The restaurant features an extensive list of Shanghainese street food, such as lotus root with sticky sweet rice, xiao long bao (steamed meat dumplings), and several vegetables unique to Shanghai.
