Tan Zhe Temple

Description:

  • There is an old saying about the Tan Zhe Temple – first the temple was built, and then the city of Beijing. Tucked away in the slopes outside of the city center, the temple has a number of precious trees and rare flowers growing inside it. It is both grand in design and atmosphere, similar to many of the other imperial temples in Beijing. The temple is an active place of Buddhist worship, with ceremonies on the first day and the 15th day of each lunar month.
