Thanks to the contemporary urban rat race, many young Beijingers find themselves too busy to date. Concerned parents (and eager future grandparents) gather here on Saturday morning to play matchmaker. Bring a headshot and line up a date.

  • Description:

    • This park used to be an altar for the gods of earth and grain. Visitors can still see a five-coloured earth altar, symbolizing the rule of the Emperor over the state. The woodlands in the park offer a place to relax among the precious ancient trees. Another option is to rent a small boat and row in the moat around the Forbidden City – there are good views of the turrets on the wall.
