- Although close to one of Belfast's busiest roads, Grovelands is a haven of tranquility. It is great to spend a relaxing afternoon getting lost in its snaking paths around islands of colorful flowers, shrubs and trees. Plants are varied throughout the year, and it has a small formal rose garden as well as conifer and heather areas. Along with the Botanic Gardens, it is one of the most manicured of Belfast's many parks, and always makes a colorful oasis in the midst of the city—regardless of the season.
