Anthony's at Squalicum Harbor

• Almost every waterfront city from Bellingham to Olympia now boasts an outpost of Seattle's popular Anthony's seafood restaurant chain, and for good reason. These places just seem to do things right. This impressive, lodgelike, waterfront building has big walls of glass overlooking a marina, an open kitchen with an eating bar, a lounge, and a bi-level dining room that assures everyone a water view. There is always plenty of variety on the menu, but dishes to try include the crab cakes, pan-fried Willapa Bay oysters, and the alder-planked salmon (a preparation that is a Northwest classic). Monday through Friday, four-course sunset dinners ($17) are served from 4:30 to 6pm. On Sundays, enjoy the all-you-can-eat Dungeness crab feed!
