• NileGuide Expert Says:

Benson is a funny little town. Most tourists blow through it on their way to Tombstone and Bisbee. Yet, there's something appealing about the town even if there isn't much in the way of tourist attractions. Benson's two or three major streets deserve at least a quick stroll and the Horseshoe is a perfect place for breakfast and lunch on your way to Tombstone.

  • Description:

    • This two-story house off exit 303 on I-10 is one of the landmarks in Benson. Family-owned for 70 years, the cafe has served as a focal point for the town for visitors and locals alike, and it has retained its Western ambiance and decor to this day. The fare here is strictly Southwestern, consisting of steak, tacos and burros, and an extensive salad bar. Most dishes are in the $5-$7 range. There is also a full bar, serving a good variety of American and imported beers.
