Triple Rock Brewery - Berkeley

  • Description:

    • The Scene
After observing the massive brewing machinery at work--viewable through ceiling-high windows--peruse the jukebox's alternative, KALX-style rock tunes. The simple, antique wood bar, classic brewery signs and giant, corroded sign beaming "LUNCH" create an old-time tavern feel. Naturally finished wood is ever-present in the tall booths, wood paneling and floors. The small, rather plain upstairs deck is a pleasant surprise.

      The Draw
From the subtly smoky Red Rock Ale to the golden, aromatic IPAX, the 10 to 12 rotating beers on tap display expert brewery skills. The fresh, down-home eats attract an easygoing lunch and after-work/school crowd. A pint goes perfectly with the half-pound Angus burgers, flavorful beer-steamed dogs or freshly cut french fries.

Good Beer and Food for a Brewery.

    • Friendly atmosphere in a neighborhood spot. The beer is tasty but the wine is only average. Good pub grub and is open for a generous amount of hours.
