Acud Kino

Description:

• The cinema in the Acud, a building which was occupied by squatters after the fall of the Wall and subsequently turned into a cultural center, has existed in its present form since 1991. As the cinema is part of an arts association, it can largely afford to ignore mainstream productions. Underground movies, feminist films, original language versions, lectures and other events are a regular part of the programme, much of which is organised in collaboration with the Association for the Promotion of European Film Culture. The cinema also shows films featured in the Contemporary Eastern European Film Festival in Cottbus.
