- If you're looking for fantastic, authentic gelato packed with real nuts, fruits and lots of sugar, Caffè e Gelato is your place. It could hardly be less "Berlin" - it is situated on the first floor of a large, glitzy shopping mall at Potsdamer Platz - but it's worth coming out of your way for a few scoops of this heavenly gelato, even if, at between EUR1.20 and EUR1.50 per scoop, it is quite a bit more expensive than some of the gelaterias in the chic boroughs of Berlin. As well as the standard cones and cups, there is an extensive eat-in menu of all manner of desserts as well as coffee and drinks. The cafe closes half an hour earlier during the winter. -Justin Davies
