• The Eiszeit is one of the last survivors of Kreuzberg's underground movie scene, whose origins lie in the squatter and anarchist movement of the 1960s and 70s. The Eiszeit started out with live shows, locally-made 8mm and 16 mm movies and video festivals. Nowadays the cinema boasts two theaters, both state of the art, which offer European films in the original language (often with German subtitles), with a particular emphasis on Turkish films. The programme includes films which one rarely sees elsewhere, such as political pieces and other controversial works. Special midweek prices: Tuesday & Wednesday.
