• Mein Haus am See serves coffee, cakes and some of the best beer in town 24 hours a day, seven days a week. With concoctions like raspberry beer and banana hefeweizen (wheat beer), as well as some rare, and tasty tap and bottled beers, it goes beyond the standard alcoholic fare. It also serves a range of cocktails and wine, all at reasonable prices. The atmosphere is eclectic - some tables resemble dining tables from the 19th Century while others are lounges from the 1970s. There are also three very small tiered levels, wide enough for you to sit on cushions or a small table, at the back of the room. There is a separate, hermetically sealed smoking section for the smokers and the smoke haters. The clientele ranges from people with their heads buried in their laptops to low-key suits to 20 something artist types. -Justin Davies
