- New Orleans Haus offers up some of the only traditional Cajun food in Berlin in a friendly, if nondescript, environment opposite Görlitzer Park. The hospitable owner is a native of New Orleans, and he snoops around Berlin for authentic ingredients for his food, which ranges from barbecued prawns and traditional cornbread to gumbo and jambalaya. Prices are reasonable, and the atmosphere, while unremarkable, is always laid back. The owner sponsors free German language classes every week and the venue even hosts a "booze school" - a fortnightly lesson in how and what to drink. -Justin Davies
