Description:
- The Schmalzwald presents a show called irritainment, an expression which tells you everything about this mildly irritating club. The kitschy interior was designed by the Canadian Queen of Trash, Laura Kikauka and is a first class example of tastelessness. Sir John Henry plays the same tunes on the Hammond organ every night, to the delight of his fan club and other revellers. DJs play mediocre, middle-of-the-road German Schlager music, occasionally interspersed with a touch of disco or latino music. Special events are frequently organiszd - many of which are extremely bizarre - such as slide shows about Polynesian statues or Tuvinic throat chants. Rather strange. Minimal admission fee.
