Description:
- Formerly located on Potsdamer Platz, the Esplanade was a legend before being destroyed during World War II. Only the opulent ballroom survived. And it was this very ballroom which was recently integrated into the Sony Centre on Potsdamer Platz amid huge publicity. The new Grand Hotel Esplanade was erected on the banks of Landwehrkanal in the 1980's. A modern, first-class hotel with a top gourmet restaurant, the Esplanade also boasts one of the best cocktail bars in the whole of the country, Harry's New York Bar. The inside is modern rather than traditional.
