Description:
- Deutsche Schreberjugend (DSJ) youth hostel is situated in the middle of Kreuzberg. However, this part of Berlin's most infamous district isn't particularly attractive. The area between Moritzplatz, Hallesches Tor and Kochstraße was totally destroyed in World War II. During the 1960's, gloomy high-rise buildings were constructed here to house less affluent members of the community. This isn't the greatest area in Berlin, although many of the city's more interesting spots aren't far away. All facilities are basic because the hostel is oriented to school groups.
