Bräustübl

Description:

  • Friedrichshagen, now part of the Köpenick district, is a picturesque 19th century village on the north shore of Lake Müggelsee. The area is home to the Berliner Bürgerbräu brewery, whose products are best sampled in the 130 year old Bräustübl next door. Bürgerbräu beer comes in light and dark incarnations, while other regional brews such as Berliner Pilsener are also on tap. The beer helps wash down Berlin specialties such as Bouletten (similar to a hamburger), Sülze (pork in aspic), sour lentil stew or fried liver with apple and mashed potatoes.
