Spanisches Restaurant Conzuela

• Conzuela we found this lost hidden treasure by accident ......and it made our trip so memorable that we wanted to share with you all ...... on a side street off the main beat in a wonderful shopping area in Berlin Conzuela´s is a wonderfully atmospheric Spanish restaurant, which is stuffed with cushions, lamps & wonderful armchairs and manned by a small team of devoted , guest loving employees. The food is as exciting as you dare to be, so eschew the traditional paella and tuck into the splendid "Platos de la Casa" - the specialities of the food loving chef ........ All of which is complimented by a fantastic wine list...... we had the tapas platter for two ..... the plate was big that is did not fit onto our table ! So our table was promptly extended with an extra table ... we then were given an array of spices , peppercorns & corriander with a great big marble spice bowl to grind our own spices !! it was like somethingout of a picture book ...... Our desire to sit & savor did not cause any problem although the restaurant was soo busy - our waitress checked on us to see if we needed any more olives or bread but did in no way try to push sales or hurry us along.... we loved our appetizer so much that we had two bottles of red wine - Monte Real - Rioja - a real treat for red wine lovers.... Some two hours later we shared a main - Cerdo de la Frontera ...... we just did not want the evening to end. it was one of the most intimate dining experiences i have ever had - it was like being at the home of very dear friends - being spoiled & pampered ....... once we found this place we did not consider going anywhere else - we booked a table for the next evening only to be greeted like friends - a truly memorable experience of food , in a wonderful little restaurant where we felt truly at home. the atmosphere , food , service & value for money will take us no doubt back to Conzuela on our next trip to berlin.
