- Every summer the world's best athletes gather in the Olympic Stadium for the ISTAF international athletics meeting. The ISTAF is one of the six Golden League meetings, the most important event on the international athletics calendar outside of major championships. Athletes who win their event at all of the six meetings (not exactly easy in a world-class field) stand to win a jackpot of USD1,000,000, so you can bet they will be giving it their all! The event was first held in 1937. Since then, more than a dozen world records have been set at this meeting.
