• A pub-cum-restaurant, this luncheon eatery lies within the Clocktower Building's shopping mall at the historic Royal Dockyard. It was established and for many years run by a team of expatriate Swiss chefs. In 2008, other entrepreneurs bought the place, but have kept it pretty much as it was at the time of their takeover. The setting is casual, and surprisingly un-elaborate -- its sheathing of beige and brown tiles and darkly nondescript furniture don't contribute to a setting that's particularly cozy. Nonetheless, it's a worthwhile choice for meals throughout the day, as well as for afternoon tea. An extensive lunch menu includes fish chowder, roast lamb, fried chicken, beef burgers, salads, sandwiches, and platters with fish of the day or onion quiche with goat cheese and sun-dried tomatoes.
