Broadway Bistro at Coquille

Description:

• Formerly known as La Coquille, this bistro has not only undergone a name change, but is better than the original. The adjacent bar and lounge has become a popular rendezvous spot after dark. An authentic French cuisine is served, some of the platters evoking those served in Paris. The waterside restaurant lies at the foot of Hamilton Harbour. The cookery is backed up by a sound technique, as evoked by such starters as pheasant terrine with a grapefruit marmalade or white beans and chorizo soup. Main dishes are classic bistro fare, including steak frites, duck confit, and frog legs provencale. Desserts are luscious, especially the warm and "runny" chocolate cake with crème fraîche and a passion fruit coulis.
