Belmont Golf & Country Club

Description:

  • Designed by Scotsman Emmet Devereux in 1923, this par-70 course was made with the beginner in mind. However at times, although the holes are a bit short, play can be tricky. The ball takes strange bounces on the crystal caves beneath the turf. The links are inland, so the winds coming off the Atlantic have little effect on ball in flight. The signature par-5 11th hole is considered the most difficult. The blind tee shot to a dogleg left creates problems for players of all skill levels.
