• The Royal Naval Dockyard on the North Ireland Island was a major outpost on the coast of the Atlantic ocean for the British Royal Navy during the American War of Independence and Cold War. Today, most of the buildings that served the British and NATO troops have been converted into museums and places of tourist interest.
