NileGuide Expert Says:
This quaint Cotswold hotel is in a great location for country walks through the English countryside. The place really does have old world charm!
Description:
You can feel the history when you stay at this Jacobean manor house, built by Sir Thomas Sackville in 1633 (parts of it date from Tudor times). The house was a residence until it was turned into a hotel in 1968. The structure is built of Cotswold stone, with many gables, huge chimneys, and a formal graveled entryway. Many rooms have four-poster beds, original oak paneling, and antiques. Bedrooms are furnished in old English style but have modern comforts.
