Jazz, Funk, Disco, Soul, a little bit of Rock, Pop and Dance. If you’re going out on Sunday night in Amsterdam, Wicked Jazz Sounds at the Sugar Factory is the place to go. Not only is it the best and most happening party on a Sunday night, it may very well be the best party of the entire week.

Wicked Jazz Sounds is an Amsterdam based collective of performers, with a phenomenal ability to mix Jazz with dance music. It’s one of those rare situations in which quality music is made accessible to a wide group of people. Each week, a band with their lead singer take to the stage, performing Jazz with fun dance tunes and recognizable tracks. During set breaks, a DJ plays a set of popular tracks.

The venue gets packed but overall the crowd is a dedicated party flock, after all, going out on a Sunday night takes effort. Cover is 9 Euros and doors open at 11, but the party doesn’t kick off til about 12:30am. Arrive early to get in but you’ll be in an empty club, arrive late and you’re stuck in a line outside. Either way make sure you check this party out, it’s amazing.
