Going Out in Amsterdam – Monday Night!

Going out on a Monday night is unusual. But going out on Monday night in Amsterdam can definitely be done, and can be done well. Two of the cities most famous clubs, the Paradiso and Melkweg, don’t do club nights, but frequently have concerts of artists coming through Amsterdam, even on Monday nights.

Clubs around the Rembrandtplein, such as Rain, will also have their doors open for those looking to party – but expect to be surrounded by tourists.

If you’re looking for a party where some of Amsterdam’s more colorful locals and adventurous tourists venture, check out the Winston Kingdom. It’s conveniently located next to St. Christopher’s Hostel on the Warmoestraat, where there’s always a bar full of bleary eyed travellers enjoying the evening’s drink specials. After you’ve had a few, wander over next door for Winston Kingdom’s Cheeky Monday, the city’s best weekly Drum & Bass night. Cover is only 5 Euros and the door staff and bartenders are exceptionally friendly.

The venue isn’t big, but there is also a fair amount of seating, so if you’re tired of dancing you can chill out with friends and grab a drink – though it will be too loud to talk.
