After a long day of adventure and sights, there’s no better way to unwind than to have a great night out with friends and family.  If you’re looking for a bit of a party, there are plenty of great options in Anchorage.  Among some of the best is Gaslight Lounge, one of the more happening hotspots in Downtown Anchorage.  Gaslight Lounge attracts both a local crowd and a healthy amount of tourists, making it one of the more lively spots in the area.  All week long a DJ spins music for your listening pleasure.  The music is a mix of rock, techno, and dance, so all different kinds of people flock to this hot spot.  On the weekends, however, the crowd really gets going.  Bring your dancing shoes, because this is definitely a place that sees a fair amount of boogying.  If you’d rather not shake it on the dance floor, there are lots of people that conglomerate around the dart boards and pool tables.  The bar attracts a healthy diversity of people into different things, so you’re sure to find something that strikes your fancy at Gaslight Lounge.  Although the bar can get a bit crowded on a weekend (okay, it can get packed), it’s still a great time and a fantastic spot to make new friends.  Unfortunately, there’s no food available… but there’s also no cover charge.  Thank goodness for small favors.  If you’re into a wilder night out and are looking for a bit of fun, this is definitely the place for you.
