Take some time out of the city to enjoy a glass of local wine and a taste of barbecue at Persimmon Creek Vineyards. On August 21 at 7 p.m. the small 110-acre winery estate in the Northeast Georgia Mountains is showcasing the cooking of Chef Todd Richards from Atlanta’s Rolling Bones BBQ in a vineyard-style barbecue.
For $85 a person, guests will dine on Royal Riesling Pork Sliders and Seyval Blanc Grilled Watermelon Salad followed by Cabernet Franc Smoked Turkey Wings and Merlot Duck Breast. Dessert will arrive in the form of Ice Wine Cold Smoked Peaches and each course will be paired with one of Persimmon Creek Vineyards home-made wines.
