The air is getting chillier and the malls are getting busier as the holiday season is officially here. In honor of the Christmas season, the Vinings neighborhood is once again hosting a Christmas Tree Lighting that is taking place at the Vinings Jubilee.

Celebrating its 40th year, the Vinings Christmas Tree Lighting will take place Thursday, December 2 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and include a variety of family-friendly activities–from train and pony rides to balloon twisting and face painting. Performances by the Teasley Elementary School Choir, The Atlanta Opera and Lovett High School’s Jazz Band will accompany food and drinks and the event will also feature the cast of The Holiday Ice Spectacular, which is debuting at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre on Dec. 16. No holiday event would be complete without Santa Claus, who will also be stopping by to listen to wish lists and take photos.
