Among all of the other festivities in Atlanta, you don’t want to miss the Atlanta Jazz Festival in Piedmont Park. The festival features main acts like the J.C. Young Youth Jazz Ensemble, the MAYWE Jazz Ensemble, Ninety Miles, and vocalist Audrey Shakir. Performances begin on May 28th at 1 pm. Stone Mountain Park
You won’t want to miss the laser show this year at Stone Mountain State Park. This year’s show with tribute the Troops with a brand new laser show that is at least five times bigger than an IMAX movie screen. The show will feature brand new graphics projected onto Stone Mountain. The show begins nightfall on May 28. One day passes are $27 for adults and $21 for children (3-11). parking passes are $10. Members of the military get a free pass when they show their ID and their family members can save money, too.

Atlanta History Center
Guests will have the opportunity to interact with veterans and listen to their stories at the Atlanta History Center on May 29 from Noon to 5 p.m.The day will also include performances by Phillipa Anderson, Mary Slider, and Deborah Grace as they sing songs to commemorate music that was popular during WWI to the present. People with military IDs are admitted free. Tickets to enter the center are $16.50 for adults, $13 for seniors, and $11 for children.
