If you’re looking for a way to beat the heat, why not take a road trip to Acworth for a splash in the lake? Acworth Beach in Cauble Park is a great retreat for a picnic or a walk along the lakefront.  The beach is open until Labor Day for swimming.

There is a $10 fee to park in Cauble Park on weekends. The beach has a concession stand and paddle boat rentals. You’ll also find a gazebo, picnic areas with grills and a beach house. Some of the facilities must be reserved, but some are available to use on a first come, first served basis. So, get there early. Signs on the site will let you know if the gazebos are available. Children can play on the playground equipment located at the park.

Perhaps you’d like to take the family on a fishing trip. The lake has catfish, bass, bluegills, and other fish, so you can take your chances, fishing from the dock at the park. Be aware that there are no lifeguards on duty at the park.

Cauble Park is located at 2293 Beach Street in Acworth. It is off of exit 278 from I-75.
