It’s that time of year when weekend festivals begin to pop up like tulips. The weather has warmed up, the trees and flowers are in bloom, and it’s time to get out of the house and have some fun! If you’re looking for things to do in the Atlantic City area, here are a few suggestions:
The Strictly Corvette Show
For all of you corvette lovers out there, the 2nd annual Strictly Corvette show, to be held at the Atlantic City Convention Center on April 24 – 25, is a great venue for corvette enthusiasts to share their love of the Car. Come on out and see old classics, make new friends, and celebrate everything that is “Corvette”. There will be 300 booths of vendors and hundreds of newer, classic and one of a kind ‘Vettes.
Admission: $20.00; Children under 12 are free when accompanied by an adult

6th Annual Celtic Festival
Enjoy all things from the Isles as Historic Cold Spring Village goes Celtic! On June 5 – 6, you’ll find pipe bands, dance workshops, craft vendors, children’s activities, a pub area with live music, traditional instruments, storytelling and much more. Celebrate the traditions of the Celtic Highlands with three staging areas featuring music, dance performances and other entertainment.
Note: The festival will be held on the grounds only, the buildings will be closed.

New Orleans Carnivale and Crafters’ Fair
Held outdoors on June 6 at the Renault Winery Resort’s beautiful festival grounds, the Carnivale features New Orleans Cuisine and live music with Ed Wise (who fled Katrina to come to Philadelphia to rebuild his life and band) and his new Orleans Jazz Band, playing in the tradition of Louis Armstrong and Pete Fountain.
There will also be a wide variety of crafters displaying their uniquely beautiful art and artistry. Come for a fabulous day of great music and fantastic food with a wine and beer garden and fun for everyone!
Wine enthusiasts, don’t miss the winery tours and wine tasting and Renault’s historic Antique Wine Glass Museum.

Down on the Farm
On June 12 – 13th at Historic Cold Spring Village, celebrate the heritage of the American farm. Antique tractors and engines will be on display, and there will be horse-drawn plowing and carriage rides. The kids will love the hay maze and petting the farm animals.
