It’s a great sunny day today, May 1st — a perfect day to take the kids to Historic Smithville & Village Greene for the Childrens Festival!

With Irish sack races beginning at noon, followed by the Cape May Zoo’s “Fur, Feathers, Scales and Slime” and “Animal Kingdom” live animal exhibits, it’s sure to be a thrilling day for the little ones.  Throughout the day expect face painting, jewelry making, music and more.

The Atlantic City Aquarium will be at the Village with a touch tank, an exciting way for kids to learn about sea life.  And why not plan to supplement this experience with a trip to the Tilton 9 movie theater later this afternoon or tomorrow to watch Disneynature’s acclaimed Oceans film?

The Noyes Museum of Art will be at the Village hosting children’s activities, and don’t miss (for a small fee) the carousel, train ride, paddle boats and arcades.  Not to mention the Village’s many colonial shops and eateries!  We’ve been waiting all winter long for a beautiful day like this, so be sure to take a ride to Historic Smithville to enjoy it!
