The little tykes may not be tall enough to qualify for a bungy jump yet, but there are still plenty of ways children can enjoy their time in Auckland. Kiwis love their kids as much as the next nation and I’d have to say that New Zealand is pretty child-friendly as countries go. Most cafes and restaurants not only allow children in, but often provide the necessary accoutrements such as high chairs and toys. There is plenty of fresh air to be had and have they can at beaches, parks, and playgrounds. It’s almost as if New Zealand was designed to tire children out for the required long car trips to exciting destinations. Let them run round on a beach or fling themselves down a flying fox a few times and they will sleep like newborn kittens in the car.
