One of the most beloved activity in the Island of the Gods is to chase down beautiful sunsets. Combining stunning natural scenery, luxurious ambiance and a romantic atmosphere, it’s no wonder that tourists and locals alike would often indulge in this laizzes-faire activity.
Head on down to Rock Bar Bali for one of the most stunning sunsets you will ever see. Located deep in the Jimbaran Bay, at the edge of a cliff overlooking the Indian Ocean, the Rock Bar boasts sheer glamor on the rocks, and serves it up with style and panache. Recent renovation has seen the capacity of the Rock Bar almost doubled, but the buzz and glamor of the establishment has seen it grow ever more popular with the tourists. Reservations are a must, or at least stay at the resort to get preferential queue to get in.
Still around the Jimbaran Bay area, the Klapa Beach Club in Dreamland has finally started to realize its potential. The establishment is hip and luxurious, but has often seen complaints of poor service and sub-standard quality of product. In my last visit there I was pleased to see them offer several new products, one of which was a very value-for-money package consisting of grilled seafood, entry and use of facilities, all for just approximately USD15. For that you get a special place to eat your dinner at the top of Klapa Beach Club, giving you a magical sunset view over the Dreamland beach.
Other options abound, there is Sunset on Seminyak, or S.O.S at Anantara Resort, the famed Ku De Ta, as well as Hard Rock Cafe and Rosso Vivo in Kuta. All in all, there are no shortage of venues to host your sunset dreams and ease you into the night.
