Naughty Nuri’s at Ubud is often voted the best ribs in the whole island of Bali, and for good reason. Located deep in the heart of Ubud, a good 2-3 hours drive away from the center of tourism of Kuta, the restaurant is famed throughout the island, and has even garnered reputation outside of Bali. The restaurant recently opened two new branches in Jakarta, the capital of Indonesia, and was an instant hit – proving its worth in name recognition.

The original Naughty Nuri’s at Ubud itself is but a humble open-air road-side restaurant. The decor is minimal, with various photos, posters and newspaper clippings adorning the wall. The main draw here is without a doubt the open-air grill right outside the restaurant, and the aromatic smell of barbequed ribs wafting through the restaurant as rows upon rows of pre-marinated ribs are being cooked to perfection.

The ribs served here is tender and juicy, packed full with flavor and spice. For those who enjoys spicy food, you’ll be pleased to see the tasty home-made chilli on the side, further adding to the flavor of the ribs. The restaurant also offer various other meats and sausages, but unfortunately these does not compare to the supremacy of its ribs. And this tasty dish is also very affordable at just USD8!
