Barcelona’s Packing List

It’s always hard deciding what stays and what goes when packing for a trip. Here’s a few insider tips on what to bring and what most definitely to leave behind when coming to Barcelona.

Necessary items

Pants or shorts with pockets that do up (otherwise you’re a pick pockets dream come true), good deodorant, small translation book with a few key words  (makes a huge difference even if you know one or two phrases …other than ‘una cerveza porfavor’) day bag with zippers that close.

Totally unnecessary items

Money belt, high heels (unless you have a fancy party there’s no dress code here..anything goes), suit and tie, water bottle (no one drinks the tap water so you’ll just end up buying bottled water).

Things you might not think to pack…but come in pretty handy

Unlocked mobile phone if you’re here for a while and can buy a SIM card it’s very useful, hand fan (in summer) sarong, beach bag (in summer) notebook and pen
