Renowned for its culinary, design and architectural expertise, what Barcelona is also known for is its affinity for romantic getaways. Not only is it full of quaint and intimate places to wine & dine a current love or prospective ‘interest’, the city has a variety of ideal look out points, perfect for taking in gorgeous city views whether it be during the day or under the stars.

A few key viewpoints to note include:

Hotel 1898 Rooftop – Although the hotel itself is well known, the secret of its rooftop terrace has yet to be widely discovered. This is one of few Barcelona hotels where you can see 360-degree city views from the terrace. It’s pool, outdoor restaurant and bar provide for a fun, warm and relaxing ambiance, especially during the summer.

Tibidabo – Take a drive or the funicular (train) up to Tibidabo mountain and see the city from one of the highest points. Tibidabo itself is a nice place to walk around as its slightly removed from the city center which makes you feel like you’ve left town, even if only for a few hours.

Park Guell – Not only is Park Guell known for being one of Gaudi’s greatest creations, featuring the longest bench in the world, but it also has some of the best Barcelona panoramic views. It’s hard to get more romantic than being surrounded by a maze of mosaic tiles, vibrant colours and fairy-tale like creatures while casting your eyes upon a beautiful city.
