Fee Free Public Lands Day 9.25.10

What's New — By julietrevelyan on September 22, 2010 at 7:00 am

It’s that time again–no fee at all to enter U.S. National Parks this Saturday, September 25! In celebration of National Public Lands Day, you can get a reasonable and very fun vacation, weekend, or day jaunt to your favorite park. I admit I’m biased, but here are my favorites:

Arches National Park

Bryce Canyon National Park

Canyonlands National Park

Capitol Reef National Park

Zion National Park

*bonus* Volunteer in the Kolob Canyons section of Zion on the 25th.

And–yes, there’s more cool stuff–September is also National Wilderness Month. Whew! That’s a lot of outdoor coolness going on. So go on, head outside. Help build a trail, remove trash, plant native trees. Or, you know, just get out into that fresh air and enjoy some of the gorgeous open lands we have here. I know I will be.
