The palace-like pale yellow Neo-Classical building of the luxurious Széchényi Bath, housing the largest spa of the city and of central Europe, is a symbol of Budapest as much as it is of relaxation and pampering. It is the most renowned of the many baths houses found in the Hungarian capital, labelled the „city of water” on account of having the fifth largest water capacity in the world, with a stunning 123 thermal springs bubbling under its metropolitan area. Just by looking at the picture of its amazing main outdoor pool, I think it is unsurprising that no visit to Budapest is said to be complete without a visit to Széchényi!
