The Romantic Resorts Of Los Cabos

The natural beauty of Los Cabos, combined with excellent fine dining and an uninhibited nightlife scene, has helped give the area a well-earned reputation as a premier couples’ destination. For atmosphere, ambiance, and pampered extravagance, however, it is hard to top some of the local resorts when it comes to romance. Luxe amenities, spectacular ocean views, and world-class spa facilities are just a few of the reasons Los Cabos has become such a popular spot for weddings, honeymoons, renewal of vow ceremonies, and lovers’ getaways.  And although “The Capes” region has always been better known as a playground for adults than a family-oriented vacation haven, a few of the more luxurious resorts have specifically tailored their operations to attract and cater to lovers of all ages (over 18, of course).

Esperanza – An Auberge Resort – This gorgeous property houses one of the most luxurious resorts in all of Mexico, with all the lavishly appointed suites, villas, and magnificent Sea of Cortez views to prove it.  But what really sets Esperanza apart are the spa services. Rated the number one spa in all of Latin America by Travel & Leisure Magazine, the most famous of their treatments is for couples only, and is called Pasion de la Noche (Night of Passion). Other romantic amenities include on-site wedding planners, and superb candlelight dining from restaurants La Palapa and La Terraza Americana.

Pueblo Bonito Pacifica – Pueblo Bonito operates several first-rate resorts in Cabo San Lucas, but only one is for adults only: Pueblo Bonito Pacifica. Promising luxury without limitations, this boutique resort delivers a scenic and serene setting for visiting couples, with panoramic ocean views, and lush amenities that include a secluded private beach for sunbathing, wedding and reception services, catering, ocean-view dining, wine and tequila tasting, and unlimited food and beverage with their all-inclusive package.

Dreams Los Cabos – Located just north of San Jose del Cabo, this beautifully appointed resort is the perfect spot for those couples traveling with children, yet seeking a little romance and “us” time. The Explorer Club will provide supervised activities for the kids, while the grown-ups are enjoying the jacuzzi and tranquility pool, the relaxing couples massages, and easy access to golf and shopping. All the suites feature stunning Sea of Cortez views, and there are five restaurants and four lounges on-site to provide an array of international cuisine for both family meals and romantic dinners, like the Just The Two Of Us option, in which a table for two is set up on the beach.

Secrets Marquis Los Cabos – Situated on the beach between San Jose del Cabo and Cabo San Lucas, this adults-only resort specializes in romantic atmosphere and high-level pampering, with a world-class spa, and ocean views from their spacious Infinity pools. Nightly theme parties and live entertainment give couples a chance to dance cheek to cheek, and their six restaurants and three cocktail lounges ensure ample opportunities for wining and dining. Honeymoon suites are available for those seeking maximum privacy.

Temptation Los Cabos – For sheer sensual delights, there is no resisting Temptation. This sexy, adults-only resort offers an all-inclusive beachfront experience that includes trendy and contemporary accommodation with king-sized beds, the Sensations Spa, a topless optional swimming pool and jacuzzi, a jacuzzi lounge bar, a sauna and exercise facilities, three gourmet restaurants, romantic walks through their exquisitely landscaped outdoor garden, sunbathing on the beach, and exotic cocktails to accompany the seductive Sea of Cortez views. There is also daily entertainment and activities, as well as the occasional theme week.
