Cabo’s Best Bar Food

For all the great fine dining options in Cabo San Lucas, those in the mood for something a little less sophisticated – a burger to enjoy with beers while watching the latest sporting event, or some fish tacos to soak up the margaritas you had at the beach – will find plenty of satisfying options. Here are some of the local’s favorite stops for quality pub-style eats.

Cabo Blue – The dollar fish tacos on Friday are revered by local value hunters, but there is plenty to love on the menu at this popular outdoor bar on the Plaza de la Danza, including a variety of fresh baguette sandwiches, philly cheese steaks, bbq chicken wings, a Cabo Blue burger with blue cheese and onion marmalade, and delicious homemade french fries. The hours are as generous as the bartenders, and this is a great place to satiate any late night hunger pangs.

Tanga Tanga – If you want to hear locals lie about the fish they’ve got, or catch up on the latest Mexican soccer match or NFL playoff game, Tanga Tanga is a great place to while away the afternoon and/or evening hours. Menu highlights include cheap tacos and excellent bbq bacon cheeseburgers, as well as a distressingly good tequila selection.

Tiki Bar – This Malecon hotspot is probably best known for its sushi and fresh seafood dishes, but there are also bar food favorites like buffalo wings, burgers, and sandwiches. Locals like to gather here for the excellent breakfast options, but the best time for Tiki Bar is the late afternoon, when all the fishing boats are returning to the marina, the sun has lost its sting, and a festive happy hour spirit pervades the boardwalk crowds.
