Closing night of the Chinese play, Dream of the Red Chamber.
Monday
Free performance at the Cairo Opera House by a troupe from Ecuador performing traditional folkloric dances from around the country.
Tuesday
Nass Makan at Makan, a fusion of traditional music styles from Egypt and Sudan.
Wednesday
Yehia Khalil performing Oriental Jazz at the Sawy Centre.
The UCSB Middle East Ensemble performing at the Cairo Opera House from Wednesday to Saturday: music and dance from various Middle Eastern and Central Asian countries, featuring a mixture of Western and traditional Middle Eastern instruments.
Thursday
Popular Egyptian band Black Theama are celebrating the release of their debut album with a concert at al-Genaina outdoor theatre in al-Azhar Park.
The Riff Band, one of Cairo’s smoothest and coolest Jazz bands, are playing Cairo Jazz Club.
Friday
Sahra are playing a concert at al-Genaina outdoor theatre in al-Azhar Park, a performance that will include some old-skool Rai music.
Saturday
Karaoke at After Eight.
