Sunday
Nomads Intercontinental at Cairo Jazz Club – chilled mix of world music and jazz. 10:30 pm ; free.

Monday
Short Movies Festival at al-Sawy Culture Wheel – seven short Greek films. See here for running schedule. 8 pm ; 20 LE. Six different films showing Tuesday too.

Tuesday
Nass Makan performing a fusion of traditional music styles from Egypt and Sudan at Makan. 9.00 pm; 30 LE on the door, 20 LE in advance.

Wednesday
Ali El Farouk at the Cairo Opera House – Cairo-born, Montreal-based jazz guitarist. 8 pm.

Thursday
Crash Boom Bang at Cairo Jazz Club – fusing funk, Latin, pop… and crazy costumes! 10:30 pm ; free.

Friday
Fathy Salama plus Norwegian jazz quartet The Source playing at al-Genaina Theatre in al-Azhar Park. 8 pm ; 10 LE plus park admission.

Saturday
Gaetano Donizetti’s comic opera Don Pasquale showing at the Cairo Opera House. 6 pm ; 100 – 150 LE.
