RSA TREK IV: The Voyage Home

What's New — By thethirdpeacock on June 20, 2010 at 12:47 am

Biggest shout out possible by World Cup blogger to Michelle Browning of the British Airways Executive Club, who’s amazing efforts got me to London on time today, after her collegues delayed my original flight by…. 22 hours.

Sir Morgan Freeman was pleased to hear I was on my way to RSA.

So was Michelle Browning of British Airways

So I have made it to Cape Town. The 36 hours stop in London was a welcome respite to savour some real English enthusiasm / despair on my way to South Africa. Dave really enjoyed touring London, he particularly liked that every taxi had at least 2 England flags waving from it, and that even those not supporting England has at least one St George’s cross flying in addition to the country of their birth.

All that said, seems no one wants to win the world cup mind. North Korea did a sterling job of containing the Brazilians, and were unlucky not to claim a famous point from their South American opponents.

Spain lost. France Suck. England, well. Seriously does nobody want to win this thing?

Another 11 hour flight to look forward to, and then it’s world cup 2010 baby!!

Dave (the Scando-anglo-yanko lion) enjoys the world cup fever in London including Nelson's Column
