Did you snag Cubs tickets, but don’t know where to stay when you visit? It’s best to arrange your accommodations early, since there are limited hotels in the Wrigleyville area, and rooms tend to fill up fast and rates soar approaching a big game. There are plenty of great Chicago hotels in the River North and Loop area if you are willing to commute for the game, but check out these neighborhood stays in Lakeview first to be within walking distance of the field.

1. Best Western Hawthorne Terrace Hotel
This charming hotel is nestled in the heart of east Lakeview, close to grocery stores, great restaurants, and local shops. It has easy access to public transportation to downtown Chicago, is just one block from the lake front, and is within a short walk to the field. The rooms are comfortable, and the hotel offers a sauna, fitness center, jacuzzi, and other business amenities. To avoid complicated street parking, the hotel also offers a parking garage.

2. City Suites Hotel
This delightful 1920′s hotel offers a quaint escape from the hustle and bustle of Belmont. It is within walking distance of Lakeview restaurants and shops, and is directly next to the Belmont red line stop, with Wrigley Field just one quick stop north on the train. The street and trains can be noisy, so we recommend getting a room in the back of the hotel.

3. Days Inn Chicago
Just on the border of Lincoln Park and Lakeview, this comfortable hotel is in a prime location. Main buses are right outside the hotel to take you to the field or downtown. The lake is just 10 minutes away, and there are great movie theaters, restaurants, and bars in every direction from the hotel. The hotel has built a reputation for great hospitality and has won many awards and honors.

4. The Willows Hotel
This beautiful 19th-century French-style hotel is tucked away in the residential streets of Lakeview. It offers a quiet stay to calm you from the business of Lakeview, but is still within a short walk of restaurants and businesses, and is a twenty minute walk from the field. There’s a European flare to the hotel, and there is sure to be some pampering and luxurious amenities for guests.

5. The Majestic Hotel
This hotel also holds an Old World charm and is tucked away in the residential streets of Lakeview, but is quite a bit closer to the field. There is even afternoon tea served up for guests! The rooms are simple and comfortable, with modern conveniences, but it is the location that really cannot be beat
