There’s just one week left of August and we could not ask for better weather in Chicago right now. So before fall sets in and starts blowing a cool breeze into town head to Chicago’s best rooftop bars for a drink after work or a party on the weekend. Don’t miss out on these rooftops!

Citizen Bar
This warm and simple rooftop bar located on the 2nd floor is perfect for an after work drink. It is packed with partiers on the weekend, but the bar takes reservations to make sure your group has plenty of room. The rooftop provides nothing fancy, but the wide open space is fantastic.

Rooftop bars do not get more swankythan at ROOF, situated atop the Wit hotel downtown with an open terrace, fire places, beautiful cocktails, large cabanas, and breath taking views of the city. The crowd draws celebrities, hotel guests, and locals  looking to get fancy for an evening.

Vines on Clark
This prime Wrigleyville locale is great fun on any Cubs game day. The rooftop isn’t anything fancy, but plenty of beer, good friends, and a day at Wrigley Field are all you will care about.

The Southern
The Southern provides the whole package, a beautiful and sleek patio and rooftop deck, perfectly crafted drinks, delicious food, and a laid back crowd full of Wicker Park folks.

If you are looking for an upscale evening downtown, this is your place. The rustic outdoor lounge seats 150, complete with an outdoor bar and fireplaces for chillier evenings. The food and drink are superb making this a perfect destination for a group night out or romantic evening.
