What's New — By Heather Hapeta on December 20, 2010 at 10:45 pm
Two new things to check out at the Christchurch Art gallery ( Montreal St, city centre) : the Brought to Light exhibition shows more than fifty new works: from a nineteenth-century narrative painting and Petrus van der Velden’s extraordinary The Dutch funeral and in the contemporary section make sure you see Judy Darragh‘s eye-popping installation Cats and dogs. While the gallery is free, a donation is always welcome.
And, for the children, the gallery has its usual free holiday events for the younger ones – pick up the activity sheet from the foyer and start exploring and learning with your children. (until end of January)
