Hot off the press from Venues.org:
“A pub in Scotland is hoping to host the world’s biggest pub quiz, according to a report.
The quiz will be held in aid of St Columba’s Hospice and is offering a prize of £1,000 for the winning team at Edinburgh venue the Corn Exchange, the Scotsman reported.
Edinburgh Businesswomen’s Club, formerly East of Scotland Businesswomen’s Club, is organising the event.
Its president, Caroline Buchan, said it should be a great night.
“We’ll run it so there’s going to be a couple of rounds of the quiz, followed by a short break and there’s a lot of side games you can indulge in. We’ve got comedian Susan Morrison compering on the night and we’ve got a separate quiz master as well,” she told the newspaper.
The event is due to take place on October 28th at 19:00 BST.
Recently friends of St Columba’s Hospice cycled from Athens to Edinburgh in order to raise money for the venue.”
