Big Band Night in Glasgow

Feel like you were born in the wrong era? Wish you could Jitterbug and Lindy Hop to the swinging sounds of Benny Goodman and Duke Ellington? Here’s your chance:

On Thursday, March 31 jive to a 14-piece big band at the Glasgow University Union, located at 32 University Avenue. Admittance is £15 and includes a full buffet and entertainment till 1 a.m. This is a theme event, and all dancers should come in 1940s-style dress.

The floor entertainment starts at 8 p.m. Get to Glasgow by catching a train at Edinburgh’s Waverley Station (it’s an hour long ride).
